Rain woes

November 14, 2021

Continuous rains across the city since over a month has been creating havoc at many parts with rain water flooding residential areas and entering houses causing hardships to residents. This morning, sewage water from a manhole near Kukkarahalli Lake overflowed on the road causing a lot of inconvenience to motorists.

Picture (above) shows a Government official’s vehicle passing next to the overflowing manhole.

Picture (below) shows a huge tree which got uprooted last night on Dewan’s Road near Amruteshwara Temple due to dampness of soil. The tree also brought down a few heritage lamp posts besides snapping power cables.

The MCC’s Abhaya team, with the help of mechanical saws were seen sawing tree branches to clear the road for smooth flow of traffic this morning.
